Mille Miglia, a car race full of myths and legends. The world's most famous and most beautiful car race started again yesterday. This year with two Bugatti models. Herbert Diess, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG, is driving a historic Bugatti Type 35 at the classic car race.

Stephan Winkelmann, Bugatti President, is driving a current Bugatti Chiron Sport1 '110 ans Bugatti', which is unofficially participating in the race. "The Type 35 is one of the icons of Bugatti's rich history and tradition," says Stephan Winkelmann. "It's in its natural element here. The Chiron Sport '110 ans Bugatti' is the modern and ultimate reinterpretation of the luxury hyper sports car. Here, in Italy, it pays tribute to its French heritage, but also recalls Ettore's Italian roots."

On the first day of the race, the participants started in Brescia and passed through the region of Emilia-Romagna, the home of one of the most famous Italian sports car brands. After a stop in the cultural city of Ferrara, the cars drove on towards the sea before finally arriving in the city of Cervia, an important port on the Riviera Romagnola.
