The Art of Asprey & BUGATTI

Art is integral in BUGATTI’s legacy, spanning more than 112 years. Ettore Bugatti, founder of the French luxury marque, was born into a family of famous designers and master sculptors. His father, Carlo Bugatti, was an internationally recognized artist, designer and silversmith, who instilled his love of craftsmanship and innovation into Ettore – values that remain ever-present in BUGATTI’s DNA to this very day. Now, BUGATTI has partnered with British luxury house Asprey to create highly exclusive objets d’art -  masterpieces of the future.

THE INVITATION IS NOW OPEN

Since 1781

Founded in England in 1781, Asprey has long been considered the pinnacle of luxury. Offering unique products, very often bespoke commissions completed in its famed workshops, Asprey caters to the most demanding and prestigious clients in the world, including royalty, heads of state and international connoisseurs. Asprey, like BUGATTI, is dedicated to unparalleled focus, attention to detail and desire to achieve perfection. Asprey leads in continuously redefining luxury in terms of quality, refinement and innovation.

BUGATTI Masterpieces

The first masterpiece handcrafted by Asprey holds true to the values of the remarkable automobile it pays tribute to. Like La Voiture Noire, one single sculpture will be created, ensuring an unparalleled level of exclusivity by NFT technology. Only the most precious of materials will be used to form the sculpture, handmade in 24k rose gold and mounted upon a bespoke, handcrafted base, finished in the iconic signature colors of BUGATTI and Asprey.

The NFT accompanying the La Voiture Noire-inspired sculpture will be the most exclusive and highest value element of the entire collection and will be linked to the physical masterpiece visually via a QR code and unique serial identifier.

Like BUGATTI, Asprey offers a seamless blend of technological innovation and time-honored craftsmanship in the creation of its objets d’art. To reach the epitome of excellence, Asprey’s in-house silversmiths will dedicate approximately four months at their workshop in London to the creation of the sculpture.

Stunning Collection of Objets d'Art

Wiebke Stahl, Managing Director of BUGATTI International, said: “All BUGATTI creations, from the Type 57 SC Atlantic that was infamously lost; to the contemporary La Voiture Noire, are designed to spark emotion, even when not being driven, as a static piece of automotive art. Timeless design is a fundamental philosophy at the core of both BUGATTI’s and Asprey’s vision. Now, this exclusive partnership will enable BUGATTI customers and enthusiasts to enjoy our design values from a new perspective through this stunning collection of objets d’art. On top of that, it gives every BUGATTI client the exclusive opportunity to have their BUGATTI automobile custom-made by Asprey as a unique masterpiece sculpture made of precious metals.”

Next Evolution of the Partnership

Ali Walker, Chief Creative Officer at Asprey Studio said: “We are proud to present the Asprey BUGATTI Egg Collection, an Objet with an eggshell made from carbon fibre, creating the perfect egg shape and paying homage to BUGATTI’s design DNA. It’s encased within a sterling silver diamond weave lattice, gently angled downwards to a curved base portraying movement and echoing Asprey’s heritage in jewellery. A dancing elephant motif repeats across the surface of the egg; a perfectly 3D-scanned and miniaturised reincarnation of Rembrandt BUGATTI’s famous sculpture, which adorned the bonnet of the BUGATTI Type 41 Royale.”
